About KiddReads

I'm on a simple mission: to help every kid find a book they'll love — safely.

My mission

Every child is a reader — they just need the right book. KiddReads exists to put that book in front of them: a huge, carefully curated library children can explore on their own, with a friendly guide to help, and grown-ups they trust kept in the loop. I want the question "what should I read next?" to have a delightful, safe answer for every kid, every time.

My story

KiddReads started in 2026, when I (Brandon) realized — as a 12-year-old who loves to read — that there was no safe, fun place built specifically for kids to find their next favourite book. Every other site felt like it was made for adults, not for us.

I decided to build the solution myself. It's been an incredible journey so far, growing from a simple idea into a catalogue of 55,000+ books. I'm constantly working to make it the best place on the internet for young readers to explore.

Today, KiddReads is a growing home for families everywhere — and since I'm still just getting started, the best is yet to come.

What I believe

The values behind every decision I make.

😊

Reading should be joyful

The right book turns a reluctant reader into an eager one. I optimize for delight, not just "appropriate".

🛡️

Safety isn't optional

No ads, no tracking of children, no marketing aimed at kids. I build COPPA-conscious, and parents hold the keys.

💛

Free for families

Finding a great book shouldn't depend on a budget. The heart of KiddReads is free, and I mean to keep it that way.

🤝

Trust, with visibility

Kids get room to explore; parents get a clear window into what they do. Independence and oversight, together.

Who's behind KiddReads

I'm Brandon — a 12-year-old founder and avid reader who believes every kid deserves a safe, fun, and modern way to discover their next favourite story without having to use sites built for adults.
